Hi,

I have two pipelines that join at one point(i.e. at A1.7), however i cant seem to make the second pipeline join so that the pipe becomes "B1.2 - A1-7" instead of "B1.2 - B1.1" Normally if i connect the strings at this point it automatically "joins"

Any ideas?

Regards,
Matthew

If they are Drainage strings, you can only use the Split Join Drainage Strings panel from the Drainage-Sewer menu.

Sorry,

What i mean is that this is a Y junction with two lines joining into one where one line is a 1200 dia main and the other line joining this is say a 500 dia connection.

Trying to get it to a point where my storm analysis will direct the water from the 500 dia pipe into the 1200 dia main.

Regards,

Okay, you have either got one string or flow direction the wrong way around, or you have not snapped one pit onto the other with a point snap (diamond symbol), to ensure the same x,y within a micron.

Thank you Owen,

I released my mistake was that i had them in two separate models (As it is a large drainage design with multiple lines) once they were both in the same model it worked fine.
