kerb returns

Post by Nelson Reid »

I have a kerb return with a standard radius. How can I amend this kerb return to have multiple radiuses (at least three). I'm guessing I use one of the modifiers? I'm not sure which one!

Hi Nelson

The Super Alignment has a Transition - compound -> Three centred element.

What do Approaching offset and Departing offset mean?

My element doesn't work.

Hi Yuan

For a counter-clockwise direction super alignment, try negative values like -3.5 for both.

Try using insert component 3 centred curve to create the alignment, it is easier using elements and not ip method and computaters easier still. as above if you are left of the centre line then negative offsets and negative for arcs that are anti clockwise. For other reasons I make my kerb returns always with the batter on left and road on right it does make things easier in the long run.
