alignment's earthwork volumes calculating

Post by yafei shao »

Hello!
I'm a begineer about 12D model.
I'd like to calculate the earthwork volume of designed alignment, so:

design- volume- end area- tin to tin. and I set "ground" as original tin, the "road1"(the designed road) as new tin. BUT, when I pick the interface of designed road as poly, it said " bad polygon: polygon intersect itself" .

I don't know the reason. somebody know?
maybe I use wrong method to calculate earthwork volume.
:(

thank you!

search the forum for BAD POLYGON
however, if you want the volume of the entire intersecting area, simply ignore the polygon box and leave it clear

you will be able to run a volume without a polygon
Cheers
