open up a perspective view (not open gl)
turn on the tin model, go to settings and select shade, or contours, or grid.

if you have the visualisation module (open an open gl view) to see it as two sided, use 12d textures on roads, batters, etc.

if you are looking for the volume of the 300mm layer. Use the surface area within a polygon option in Tins / Tin Analysis > and multiply by 0.3

if you need to generate line work for sections, may be quicker to manually add later.

using the measure bearing / distance tool would be the quickest way. you cannot 'snap' to the outer lines of pipes but lines / tins can be snapped to, but with the 'cursor snap' on (the C icon in the snaps toolbar) you can get a pretty close height distance. the result will be the dz numbers in the ...

you can assign a super alignment style to it and the tangect points should be highlighted with a symbol. most of the standard styles will show the ticks / symbols on the line. set this in the Super Alignment toolbar (hit F6 to edit string) on the "properties" icon, there will be a label se...

a special chainage file would show these additional uprights. BUT when the design changes, the spc file has to be updated.

add the reference in the "chainage/staggering" part of the ppf.

its a fix, but not an automatic fix.

shaun. you should invest some time learning to use super alignments. chainages are displayed dynamically and you can set up different styles for differrent situations. alignment is OK, but as long as you recalc the chainages each time any modifications are carried out. handy part of super alignment ...
