Re: Update 12D Practise for training purposes during Self-isolation

Heh! It's no so much training I'm thinking of, but practising what they've trained. Even if they go and do training/webinars with 12D during this period they may lose what they learn unless they practise. As far as this pandemic is concerned I believe that, even if they had a possible vaccine that w...

Update 12D Practise for training purposes during Self-isolation

The current version of 12D Model has a lot of new capabilities since v9. I suggest it would be useful for training a large number of junior Engineers and Designers who don't have enough work and are self-isolating, without using up a Dongle. Hmmmm.... It also does depend on how you are plotting the long sections. If you are plotting directly to the plotter then you use the .pmf file, if plotting to acad you use the amf file. I believe there are files for microstation etc but I've never looked.

Yes, you use the acadplot.amf file. It is a text file where the lines of text control how the colours are translated into layers. for instance: 23____*___L25____bylayer___bylayer__*___* //colourbond 514 __ *___L35____bylayer___bylayer__*__* //sand2 511___*___L50____bylayer___bylayer__*___* //dirt1 1...

Firstly, check to make certain that the segments are tinable. Secondly, check the chainage interval, if it is greyed out it means that it isn't set. Try setting it to a value of 5 or even 2. Keep in mind though, that the smaller the chainage increment the more vertices it will have and the more tria...
