XYZ Symbol.... Sounds like you still have the 'Orbit' command active?

If so, just hit <Esc> a few times, and then refresh the view.

On the perspective view's toolbar, go to the Display button and select Utilities>Dump . BMP/PNG are the cleaner images. Alternatively for higher res use; V14: select the Settings>High Resolution Image V12: select the Settings>Tile This creates a raster in 12d, which you then need to Dump or Plot. No...

Depends what is in the 12da file?

If there are 200M points of data, 20x Tins, couple of Point Clouds, and 1000's of attributes, then I can potentially see why it may take a while.

How long is a piece of string........ Something i used to say to my junior designers was " How would you go about designing and setting it out on paper? " When you've figured out where your control strings will be, and any critical points, now you can start to replicate that in 12d Model. ...

Assuming you've picked up the pit type, size, and rotation as attributes, then you can use this info to apply Symbols via a Map File.

Then, as Owen mentioned, explode and drape.

Go to Utilities=>Measure=>Value and click the button on the right of the Value field.

Provided you can snap to the points you're trying to measure, you can do a Point-to-Point >DZ measurement between 2 points.

Most likely due to the DWT version.... In acad, when you SaveAs a DWT it saves it in the current version, which is probably not 12d friendly.

So, open your DWT in acad and save it as a DWG2010 file (2012 may also work). Then in Windows Explorer, change the file extension to DWT.

Some more details needed.......
What are you plotting, Plan, Long/Cross Section, etc?
What Plotter are you using? Windows, PDF, DWG, etc?

Depending on "what" you are plotting, there are mapping files and/or pen tables that control the final product.

" Colours by layer " means exactly that. Whatever colour is set on the layer in the dwg/dxf, then that is what the element will display as. If there are no predefined layers in the dwg/dxf, then by default new layers are created with the colour white. If you leave colours by layer ticked o...

As Ed mentioned, the best solution is to have uniqure names in each of the projects, but if you've gone to far to change everything. Using the chain comand " Execution > Option-Manual " you can record the " Models =>Utilities =>Copy project models " panel with the project & m...

Nope. The models names need to be different. But all is not lost.... As you share the models in to your master project you can rename them (eg. ASCON KERB A; ASCON KERB B; etc). You can then setup a simple Chain, and use the "Add model to a view" command. As wildcards are allowed, you only...
