PPF Editor

hi,

When creating Section Long Plots, the title in the boxes always seems to be only in one pattern (ie. Primary, Tin, Depth and Chainage). How do I change the sequence of the Titles, eg I would Chainage to be the first line and Tin to be at the bottom most.

Thanks

DGN Mapping File

hi, how do create a mapping file for ustn (dgn) element to be imported by 12D? I would like to map every level or color being used in my dgn file to a corresponding 12D model. What is the coding format for this type of mapping file? Can't find any clear documentation on this type of mapping file. tn...

Daylighting a Line

Hi, How do i daylight a string at a certain elevation to meet an existing grade at a specified slope. I'm thinking of creating an alignment string and a profile then attaching a template. Is it possible to just use a line set at an elevation, then just pick this line and make it meet the a certain s...

hi ryan, could you please tell me in detail the section of your dam, like the side slope. i'm trying to do your problem. like you, i'm also learning 12D just lately. But I have a lot of experience in using other civil design softwares like land desktop, civil3d and currently now using inroads. my ob...

Hey lee,

i think i got it based from your reply. I never thought that the vertical geometry of the alignment would also affect the section strings creation of 12D. It has been due to the vertical geometry all along.

Thanks Lee.

my centerline alignment string is composed of straight lines and curves. i do however understand that if it's on a curve, it will produce more sections depending on the chord-to-arc tolerance. But, I was trying to run the template onnly on the tangent parts of the alignment only but still it would p...

Road Templates Interval

hi, I am trying to create the sections for a road model on an interval of 100 to minimize point creation. On Apply Template Function Dialog, i have already set the Section Separation to be spaced at 100 and still it produces sections at intervals of 10. What i am doing wrong? Thanks in advance. Chris
