Thanks again Nolan, this works really well and will be useful for anyone else looking to do a similar thing. H-Z rotate also works if required as part of this process.
I am very grateful for your help, this has been bothering me for a while!

Background Image Move and Scale
I`m having trouble placing and scaling a background image. The image is not coordinated, I have created a jpeg that contains boundary lines, I am trying to move and scale it so that the boundary lines match the boundary lines in the 12d model.

Re: CAD Export Files
Hi Paramasiven, you can also find most of the templates in the standard user and user library folders of the later releases of 12d I believe.

Import Map Files
I could potentially see a need for Cad to 12D import map files if starting the project in CAD as I generally do.
Would this make designing in 12d more seamless if the initial CAD layers could be mapped back to 12d?

PW Text & Title Blocks
Hi Tim, I am looking into whats involved in adopting PW standards. I see that the template has Arial text style as standard.
I am guessing this is the preferred PW text style, correct?
Also have PW title blocks been decided on?

Hi Alan, I had a parallel string with a different chainage to my control line that I was profiling. It would have been handy to still display the control line chainage if there was a function to allow it while still being able to edit the parallel string.

Hi Graeme, that provides the chainage in the view which helps. Unfortunately I cant edit the VG of the target string when the control line is profiled so I have profiled the target string in another section view for editing.
Nice to know the tricks and limitations. Not a must have function but nice ...

Section View - Display Chainages
Does anyone know if it is possible to display the string chainage values in a section view? I am using the grid but it only starts at 0 and does not match the chainage.
