Re: Trim Tin
ie have used this method for Wind farm roads. Lidar is for the total area site, but created a rough polygon around all the access roads at an approx 40m wide corridor to allow for road design. At a guess need 20% of the total original tin area....
Re: Trim Tin
If you can get the tin to load ( I like to use a separate 12D project for the large tin). Can use 'Grid DTM' to produce points within a polygon of the area you want. Also if you are happy to lose tin resolution can specify a bigger grid spacing) You can then tin these new points. May also be able to...

Re: Export Super tins
With other software I have noticed, that when it combines tins it will adjust the the triangles of the first tin along the boundary of the second tin etc. I would say similar to nulling along the second tins boundaries, then triangulating across this gap. Maybe there is a way to get this to work in ...

Re: Lost Panels
Can try changing you screen resolutions. Operating system may force toolbar back into one of the screens. Can also try rearranging your your displays in "Display Settings". ie move screen 2 to the wrong position and hit apply. Again operating system may force toolbar back into one of the s...

Re: Type of Node to use for Existing Manhole
I think this occurs if you have two lines ending at one structure, either separate by a small amount or go to next node down your existing.

I see you are also on the Practice Version General discussion, so perhaps you don't have access to the rest of the forums. This volumes issue has been discussed before with the only options being to use excel to process the data to the required chainage intervals or a macro. https://forums.12dmodel....

I have written a program to handle the output information from 12d to consolidate both the volume and height data in integers of 10 without loosing the accuracy of the output. If its a 12d macro and you want to share, it can go on the macro forums https://forums.12dmodel.com/macros.php ther file ty...

most likely..... file extension don't mean a lot for transfer formats. Really need to open the file in something like notepad++ and have a look at the format. the two formats I generally see are pt,x,y,z,s. Use File i/o->xyz->xyz general. the other format is a grid based file which looks like ncols ...

Need info on how you are creating the tins, don't think it has anything to do with the chain. Seems like you are creating the tin using the options within the apply many function. The Apply many uses the overall polygon to null the tin surface, and will also recreate the tin so therefore clearing an...

You can get this error if the dongle driver has not been installed. Is 12D a new install or first time your running it on this PC? The dongle driver is a separate install file and often gets forgotten about. Otherwise its likely the env.4d. The shortcut can reference this file so maybe copy both fil...

Unless something has changed in the letest version, you can compile and run macros in the practice version.
