Yes have had it do that, actually mine looked worse. I hink it may have been the env variable OPENGL_VIEW_BACKING_STORE_4D 0 or need newer video drivers. (me Windows XP 64bit) http://forums.12dmodel.com/viewtopic.php?t=3545&highlight=backing http://forums.12dmodel.com/viewtopic.php?t=3974&hi...

Using the practice version for macro writing is fine.
The only real issue I think is that printing to the output window is disabled, which makes debuging a lot harder. I ended up using a simple panel to display debug data.

Yes, editing the plotters.4d file is what achieves this. In your PPF you can then speceify the Plotter Type that is using the required amf file. ie we edited the "DWG 2007 ACD colours" plotter type. I think if you change the Bylayer parts in the amf file to your required colour and linetyp...

You will need to edit. 1. Create a *.amf file 2. Edit your Plotters.4d to use the *.amf file. 3. Create a dwg template file for the plots to use (will need to have layers already defined with colour and linetype) 4. Set your plotting dwt file in the env.4d file - Project->management->env.4d - Plotti...

Should mention you need to have a string creation/editor running with appending HIPs for the typing coordinates to work.

Easiest way is to use CAD Lines icon on the CAD toolbar. This creates a 2 point super string, just select icon and start typing.

With you cursor over a plan view just start typing, a "X Y Z" panel will appear. Values are seperated by spaces. ie "10.12 12.56 0".

If you start typing when cursor is over a section view, a "CH Ht" panel will appear.

Have a look at "Survey =>Setout =>Setout points using super string" Will create point number labels, table of values and a text file of the values if required. The main way I use this, is to draw a super string with vertices at each point I want in the co-ordinate list. Then using "Ti...

If the sections don't exist in the model your trying to plot, the filter will not be able to find them. How are you creating your sections? Apply many or xsections along a string etc... You can use the same special chainage file in your apply many, so that sections are created at those locations and...

The K value is the same as the radius divided by 100 ie.. k=R/100. When using super alignments you can create a design file which allows you to specify minimum K values to use for your vertical design. So as you add vertical ips it will add the minimum radius. For alignemnt strings when you use para...

Use one of the slope analysis rountines to create boundary lines, which you can then use in a multifence outside to trim the contours using the model of boundarys. In the slope analysis use a range file specifiying grade 1in ranages 2 to .0001. ( may need to reverse???) I thought I got the procedure...

There was a bug with corner angles in one or two of the releases, i think it was version 8.0c1g or 8.0c1f.
If your running one of these update your install to the latest 8.0c1p.

Project->management->defaults set Corner angle to something other than 0°.

This will help on outside bends, inside bends you will need to stop and start your template to stop the overlaps. Use an apply many.
