Doh ... of course, just the exact volume between the tins, within a common area, divided by the area, gives the average depth.

A simple macro could automate it, but not sure of another way.

If you calculate the volume between each tin and a height of zero (say), within a common area, the difference in volume, divided by the common area, will give you the average depth.

Since we stopped producing installation DVDs, I think the only option might be a re-install. There is a tick-box to install the training data when you install 12d from the download exe. But if you send me an email (using button at bottom of this post), I can email you just the drainage project from ...

If you are only using the practise version, I am not sure how far you can get through the course. I have never tried.

Please see: https://forums.12dmodel.com/viewtopic.php?t=1328 The data for the old course notes (V10 and earlier, Parts 1 and 2) are installed with 12d Model, eg: C:\12d\14.00\courses\drainage\stormwater_part_1.project . The old course notes and data are still pretty good, even for the latest version...

If this is an old Alignment string and not a Super Alignment, then from the Alignment Edit menu (string editor), turn off Draw ips via Utilities=>Properties.

If it is a Super Alignment, you might need to turn off Use vertical symbol in the SA style definition.

Don't worry about the fence/volume errors ... those calculations are not needed by the Rational Method.

But you might have set your maximum ponding depth slightly higher than what is physically possible according to the FS tin.

Please note that the screen colours for weighted black pens have been unified in the PW standard. Please see the comments at the top of each PMF, eg: PW_full_scale_12d_black.pmf // $SET_UPS\PW_full_scale_12d_black.pmf // PW (Public Works) PMF (Plotter Mapping File) for FULL scale plotting, eg: A1. /...

If you are looking at the plotters.4d and colours.4d, it is most likely that you'll need the plotter mapping files associated with them, too, from here:

I have recently been re-visiting an old macro of mine, in an attempt to make it suitable for inclusion in the standard menu of V14 ... The macro panel will take a standard data source-box of Super Alignments and produce fully exploded SA styles, in a series of output model names matching: <output mo...

It was a while ago, but I think this was still an issue back in V11C1e. I would say the solution is to upgrade to V11C1q, or V12C1m.
