I think the closest you could get would be to create/convert the grid tin to grid points, which could then be triangulated and included in a Supertin.

Reeja, whenever 12d Model is asking for a position (point, line, etc.- see the status area in 12d at the bottom-left) you can usually type in coordinates by starting to type in coordinates. Hitting the spacebar first can also help. Either way should pop-up an XYZ input box where you can type in the ...

If you have the Visualisation module, you can also use the extrusions to create a column at each vertex. The Roadside furniture option (View->Visualisation->Utilities) has an option to insert a column or post at every vertex along a string.

The time format is documented in the 12d Help file, under the section PPF Editors->Title block. It is similar to the format used by the strftime() call in C++.

dd/mm/yy would be %d/%m/%y , e.g. 01/05/14 . To remove the leading zeros, you can use %#d/%#m/%y , e.g. 1/5/14 .

Try Ctrl+Middle button drag. You only need to hold the Ctrl key down for the first part of middle button drag.

Try Ctrl+Middle button drag. You only need to hold the Ctrl key down for the first part of middle button drag.

EDIT: Not sure if that actually works in the Practise Version.

Hmmm...got me stumped. :?

Typically, there are 3 ways to call up the help inside 12d Model- F1, Help button or Help menu.

Do all 3 ways have the same effect?

A few things that might be worth checking: Do you get the same error when trying the 12d Macro Manual ( Help->12d Macro Manual )? Does the help viewer exe exist? I believe it should be %WINDIR%\winhlp32.exe , typically C:\Windows\winhlp32.exe If you double-click on that .exe, it should prompt you to...

:? Hmmm...makes it hard to support reading it then. Not sure if any other CivilCad/NZ users have any workarounds or other suggestions.

Get in touch with Lane or Dylan from 12d NZ and see if they can help.

Do you have a sample of the CivilCad NZ Traverse file? If it's a documented format or easy enough to understand from reading the file, it may be possible to support it (no promises, though). Otherwise, I don't like your chances.

Which option (i.e. menu) inside 12d are you referring to re: the 12d traverse file? 12d Model has the ability to import CivilCad as5 and asc files (via the CivilCad I/O module) and already has quite extensive support for NZ surveying, including the Land Online stuff. I'm also sure one of the NZ 12d ...

Re: newlines. There was a change somewhere between V9 and V10 with regards to how newlines were handled. Had to do with Unicode, multi-line text fields and file paths containing \n .
