Report 3d lengths

Post by Cameron Voss »

I can see that "Length Area [Report]" gives 2d length and
"Get Length in 3d [Strings->User]"gives 3d length , but can I get a report of 3d lengths (instead of doing them individually)?

for on screen results you could use
User =>Miscellaneous =>R to Z=>Sum length of all strings

or a report with
Report =>Quantities
it has a tick box for 3d length
Key should be *

Cameron,

Have a play with Report>Quantities, go to the Lengths tab and check Use 3d length?. You can use a wildcard or be very specific for the Key/Name and you will need to assign a cost before it will generate a result (I use 0 or 1 unless you have an actual cost). Report mode of Summary is handy or set the mode to Full if you want a breakdown by string.
