Road Kerb ending

Post by Kannan yadav »

Hi,

I am designing a road with kerb height of 0.15m.

Wherever, I am stopping the kerb in the high strength edge.

There I am not getting smooth contour because of kerb height in the end.

How to get a smooth contours in the stopping location of kerb

and where is the option to control in the tools.

I am using

Design Templates, MTF files and APPLY > APPLY MANY functions.

Regards
Kannan

hmm. what does your template looks like?

do you have a 1mm lean back on the kerb face?

what does your MTF look like? do you have extra start and extra end turned on?
Cheers

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, there is no exact vertical faces. I provided minimum2.5mm width for

slope to get a proper triangulation.

In the MTF file extra start and extra end is checked.

I am having kerb issue in the end of Kerb along the road chainage.

It could be that you need to remove the apply many's polygon models from your tin?

I added only section and string in TIN models.

Triangulation is considering invert of kerb string line and final cut/fill slope

edge interface line (Final name intl) for triangulation.

what do you mean by "not getting a smooth contour" ?

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I mean to say increase in intensity of the contours (slope variation) .

Now its fine. I got it cleared.

The error I found it in chainage continuity. When I am using

fixed > Xfall in MTF file, due to the xfall variation, grading was controlled from design template file.

Now its fixed.

Lee, Thanks for your question in my issue.
