Basically 12D need a little lag time after each fiddle with the dwg format to catch up with whatever autodesk changes. Its all proprietary/secret stuff so they dont help you out.

Save your .dwg file as a 2007 version in AutoCad 2013. We have found we have to do this as default because other consultants we work with, have out dated cad versions. I usually have a dedicated file called inout.dwg that is where i drop all my autocad linework to get brought into 12d. Also makes setting up the default file for dwg/dxf in/out in 12d easier if you always use a file of the same name from project to project.

I was wondering if there is a way to pan easily in 12d without having to zoom in and out on the mouse scroll wheel, or clicking the pan icon? I tried holding space bar and left mouse button, it worked once, never again.
