Having no luck when trying to drape a ECW over a tin. We have attached it during, Strings, create raster, and also in tin render settings. Perspective Open GL wont show image. ECW displays fine in plan. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately the ECW will not drape. You can try a download of ER Mapper which has an option to save your ECW as a jpeg.

Even though you lose coords info with this type....you can use the plan ECWs as a reference when inserting the jpegs (e.g insertion point and scale) These will drape.

The other way is to use the 12d "View to Raster" under the top left menu on the plan view.... Menu->Utilities->View to raster. This creates a 12d raster from a view with the ECW turned on. Note there is also a rectangle option which allows you capture portions of a larger ECW.

You may have to experiment with the "Rater pixel size" as it has an effect on the image clarity and size.

Okay, instead of typing in a relative coordinate, you can type in a bearing & distance, with "bd 90 50". This will give the same square with 100m sides.

You can then setup a simple Chain, and use the "Add model to a view" command. As wildcards are allowed, you only need to enter the model name: ASCON KERB* Run the Chain, and all the ASCON KERB models will be added to the view.????
