Output Hi Resolution JPEG or similar

Post by Tony Iddon »

Hi,

What is the quickest way to output a high quality image from a perspective view?

I have some fancy images draped on tins but the detail isn't captured using snipping tool.

Cheers

On the perspective view's toolbar, go to the Display button and select Utilities>Dump. BMP/PNG are the cleaner images.

Alternatively for higher res use;
V14: select the Settings>High Resolution Image
V12: select the Settings>Tile
This creates a raster in 12d, which you then need to Dump or Plot.

Note: for the Resolution factor/Plot Factor i wouldn't go much above 20 (unless you have time to wait).

Thanks Joel,

Have you ever had an issue where the XYZ symbol at the bottom left of the view replicates depending on the resolution factor.
For example if I use a factor of 10, I have XYZ symbols all over the screen where it has scaled up the view.

XYZ Symbol.... Sounds like you still have the 'Orbit' command active?

If so, just hit <Esc> a few times, and then refresh the view.
