2 MTF - ROADING DESIGN

Post by Kylle Dataman »

Hi All

I am designing a road with 2 MTF

First MTF is a Typical with a crown in the centreline line, 2 cross-fall
And then It will continue with another MTF a single cross-fall.

The problem is I can't tie the height of the strings (Carriageway and Lip of Kerb Strings)
How can I tie up the road strings between the two MTF?

Thanks

kylle

Hi Kylle

Are you using the Hinge string option for the second MTF/MTF Function?

I will need to see what you have to assist.

What build of 12d Model are you using (12.0C1t, 14.0C2f)?
Can you provide a typical section of what you are after or screenshots or a zipped project?

We do something similar when two stages abutt each other, multiple MTFS on the same Ref String alignment

You need to use modify to string command to transition between edge treatments, some of the snippets we use make it easier if we duplicate 1m length of the other mtf in the next stage, that way we have the same profile and our transition snippets have links to modify. Say we go from kerb and channel to lay back or even shoulder only, need to run out and modify links to make it a smooth transition.
Cheers
