Create ID for polygons
My project is with sector roads includes large number and deferent category of land scaping. For Hard scape and softscape, the earth work quantity, wish to assign ID for polygons by model name. The target is once chosen the model name to achieve quantities tin to tin method, the summary sheet should be with polygon order able to text the polygon id also in the layout to identify the summary sheet. Kindly requesting to advice how to text the polygon ID by order of sequence.

Re: Create ID for polygons
Your best bet is to use the polygon's name as the ID. Then the Exact Volume > Tin to Tin will specify the polygons volume nicely. Although you will need to play with the format to get it in a presentable state.
Many of us who do road design and quantity analysis have our own macros that create the polgyons we need based on control line chainages and other factors. Your best option for an inbuilt process is "Polygons from sections (Multi)" under Design > X-Sections.
It lets you define the inner string name (that the xsections are derived from) and outer string name (ie Inner = MC01 and Outer = IALF) as well as a start and end chainage.
A common process i used to use is to create your tin boundary and split it into a left and right side based on the control line. Create a dummy model of XSections (by Design > X-sections > X-sections from cuts thru strings) using those 3 strings and then use the polygons from xsecs panel.

Re: Create ID for polygons
Alternatively, if you polygons are not parallel to an alignment and you have already created them, but just want to give them unique names so your report can identify which polygon you are referring to, you can just use the option Set New String Names (which I don't know where it is in the menus, but can be found easily in the search) or Set String Name by Number which is under Strings | User
