I`m having trouble placing and scaling a background image. The image is not coordinated, I have created a jpeg that contains boundary lines, I am trying to move and scale it so that the boundary lines match the boundary lines in the 12d model.
I am using the CAD-IMAGE-INSERT option, the move and scale worked initially but now these functions wont allow me to select the image again, not sure why. I have had this trouble in the past too.
Can someone offer some suggestions on why this is happening and what the fix is? I often have a need to place un-coordinated images in the background for drawing creation using the mps function. I really don`t want to go back to using AutoCAD for drawings, I`m hoping there`s an easy fix?
(I have used the STRINGS-RASTERS-CREATE option in the past but I find it becomes difficult to uniformly scale the raster as well, everything works great if the image/raster is coordinated but when its not I experience difficulties)

Re: Background Image Move and Scale
String > Raster > Create, Source image tab, select image, ensure values are completed, Location tab, select Raw Details, origin = assume location of image, obtain width and height world values, from the properties of the image file, Output tab, check output information, and then Toolbar Global A-G, Factor and H-Z, Translate accordingly.
Re: Background Image Move and Scale
Thanks again Nolan, this works really well and will be useful for anyone else looking to do a similar thing. H-Z rotate also works if required as part of this process.
I am very grateful for your help, this has been bothering me for a while!
