edit heights on alignment string

Post by John Bishop »

when I'm editing the height of a point on an alignment string I am required to accept the existing height before being presented with a second dialogue box where I can enter a new height for the point. I used to be able to edit the height in the first dialogue box ie it wasn't a two step process like it is now. This is only been happening since I started working on a new machine and it only seems to happen when I edit height on plan not section. Is there a setting somewhere I can change that will allow me to not have to accept the existing height before entering a new height.

John, have you got the Height Snap selected by any chance? If this is turned on it prompts you for a height on every snap.
