how can we create shortcuts?

Can anyone able to guide me about how to create shortcuts ?
I want to access menus from keyboard.

try 12d help section 45.1 User Defined Function Keys

For example
f2 panel "String Inquire"
shift f1 panel "Edit String"
shift f2 panel "String Delete"
shift f3 panel "Clean Model"
shift f4 panel "Delete Model"
shift f5 panel "Strings Edit Ops"
shift f6 panel "Points Edit Ops"
shift f7 panel "String Attributes"
shift f8 panel "Toggle $PLAN_VIEW"
