I haven't used Civil 3d before, so I cannot comment on how they compare. Perhaps someone else can comment on how they compare.

In v12 and v14 you can also type "Roads" in the top cell of the add models to only display models with "Roads" in its name. Are you using the practice version of 12d model?

To add on to this thread, what extra requirements would visualisation require? Are there any specific requirements for the video card to process aerials draped on tins, movies, transparencies, timelines, textures and openGL views? (I added the last one as my current computer sometimes has ...

I thought visualisation was for textures, billboards and that. I don't believe I have the visualisation function but I can still see both sides of the tin in openGL, and pipes too.
