Sorry to keep on about this.
If I use CTRL then MB to pan then I have to restart the current command after pans.
Is there a shortcut to slip[ into a pan mode by depressing a key

eg hold down CTRL while dragging MB, then releasing CTRL leaves you in the command state you were in previously?

Thanks, the CRTL button is the best solution I have found. Zooming in and out doesn't feel comfortable for some reason.

Thanks. I found the "hand" button allowing me to pan with left mouse button. I suppose I can leave it on.
I know I will be attempting to drag with the middle mouse button for a long long time though.

Should this button pan the view when dragging (aka the hand tool)?
Like in AutoCAD, TBC etc; etc; ?
