Yea Mathew, correct, i've tried blending, that set the transparency for the entire image, not just the "background" (i.e. non image bits).
Ill host the image else ware you will see what i mean by the black sections of the raster that shouldn't be visible.

I have a orthophoto exported from Agisoft as a PNG with background transparency, I have not issues with the PNG in Autocad setting the background to transparent.
does 12d have this functionality? as i want to drape the raster over the TIN?
