Alex

see menu Strings=>Grids
or
File => data input => point clouds
and I think you can grid lidar on the fly while importing...

grid strings and grid tins produce better results

Hi,

Is there a way of filtering the point cloud by height above and below a tin?

I am trying to filter out overhanging branches and power-lines out of my data set.

I have tried the function:

Delete Points; Point Cloud Delete Points by Tin

But it seems to delete the entire tin surface regardless the
"distance above tin (+ve)" and "distance below tin (-ve)" values.

or is there an easy way of deleting the unwanted triangles without leaving too many black holes once i have generated the grid tin of the point cloud?

Thanks,

Juho

Hmm - that is a strange wording on the panel.
I don't know what it means by Distance below tin (-ve) .

Yeah I found this option to be the reverse of my logic.
