Hi,
Anyway to add the surface area in increments to the report file for a 12D volume check?
I know you can do it for storage calcs but I need it to 2 tins.
Cheers
Ant

Re: Volume to 2 tins + area in increments
Just going to jump in on this lads...
Im doing something similar as in producing a Colour Depth Isopach for a client.
Easily see the highs and lows on a floor surface.
They are now looking for the m2 of each colour on my Depths Table and I was hoping it was a one step process under volumes.
Anyway, I then went to 'Areas by String Colour' but when its comes to an RGB colour it just Totals the RGB range and I don't get the individual colours...

Hi Paul
It is working for me. What build of 12d Model are you using (12.0C1t, 14.0C2f)?
Can you provide a sample of what you have and how you are creating the data?
Also, include an SLX of the panel that creates the coloured polygons.
How to create an SLX of a filled in panel.

Thanks for your help. Im running 14.0C2f

When I run this I need to give them the square area at the same time.
Thanks,

Hi Paul
Sorry, I didn't realise you after a legend with depth ranges and areas.
I don't know of a way to automatically combine the 2 reports.

Report =>More =>Area by string colour This option gives me areas per colour.Paul Moore wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 2:42 am Anyway, I then went to 'Areas by String Colour' but when its comes to an RGB colour it just Totals the RGB range and I don't get the individual colours...

Re: Volume to 2 tins + area in increments
Just to add an extra requirement to this, we often have to provide volumes in chainage ranges for mass haul calcs and then surface areas at different slope ranges i.e. Steeper then 1:2 is with Excavator, 1:2-1:4 Dozer, 1:4 and Flatter Grader etc...
The volumes are easy enough with the various tools and macros I have, but I can't get the areas to be split into chainage ranges, only into single polygons which then have their own naming convention which doesn't really help in a report. Does anyone have a macro that can intersect one set of polygons (the chainage ranges) with another set of polygons (the area polygons - baring in mind that you could have all 3 (or more) polygons at any given chainage) to create a new set of polygons that can be named with the chainage ranges - not dissimilar to the Polygons from Sections (multi) option. Or would someone like to give it a crack.....
