Extend String to intersect a TIN

Can anyone advise how you can extend a Super String (NOT SA) to intersect a TIN surface? Thx.

How many points would the super string have?
Does the line continue on the same grade as the last segment?

The Super String has been generated from a template off a SA. There are hundreds to points and the grade along the string is variable. However, All that I am looking to do is to extend the last segment of the string (closest to the TIN), until it touches the nominated TIN. Thx

Hi Paul,
Have a look in the MTF file for Fixed > Modify to > to tin... and set the link to "Modify width, hold xfall".

A few questions before this can be answered. EDIT There are several possibilities

1. is this a string authored by the apply-mtf process - or - just a random 3d (super) string?

2. If apply-mtf, Which plane? do you mean extend longitudinally or in cross section

There is an approved wish in v15 to extend one end of a straight super string segment (with the same grade) to a nominated TIN.
