Drainage for Box Culverts

Post by Scott Brownjohn3 »

Using the Water Network Editor I wish to set the

Link->Main->Dimensions

to suit a box culvert,

however the "shape" box is greyed out and unable to be changed from "Circular"
the "Nominal" and "Internal" are also greyed out

Is this caused by the drainage.4d file if so what is the correct coding for a box culvert.

This is my current coding
diam_thickness 0.300 0.300 0.100 0.105 0.069 0.069

Hi Scott,

Apologies for the long delay in responding ...

This looks to be a case that requires the drainage.4d file to be upgraded to XML format. The old file format does not support box culvert width, but the XML format does. Another option would be to remove the pre-defined link heights for box culvert types in the old format.

With either format, if you pre-define a list of available link sizes in the drainage.4d, the WNE from 14C2k, will only let you choose from those sizes.

The Shape box is supposed to be disabled (in Rational mode at least). Its value is now derived from the actual link dimensions specified, which is a reversion to the way it worked originally.

...

I am happy to assist you to convert your drainage.4d to XML. For assitance, please email your file(s) to support@12d.com.

Owen.
