GIS module not working
I have several REST servers and WMTS URL links from various sources. some free government data through DATA WA and others through our own GIS system but I can't connect 12d to any of those servers and I have to manually add the files. I have raised this directly with 12d support and they have not been able to solve the issue and have raised tickets to the developers. Can I please ask is there a solution for this issue yet and if not, can a timeline be provided as to when it will be resolved and will 12d credit users who are paying for the GIS module until it is fixed?

Hi Bryce
Just an update of where it is at.
I have your email and the programmers are aware of your issue.
I saw a demo of these features today and it is looking good. I am not sure where it is at for 15.0C1j. 15.0C1k will have more when it is released.

What version and build are you using?

Hi Graham,
I am using version 15.0C1j. I have tried every option under the GIS tab as highlighted and nothing works. I know the URL's work as they are being used across several platforms. I do hope version C1k fixes the bugs. Do you know when version C1k will be released?

Hi Bryce
15.0C1k is a few weeks away.
We will need to wait for the GIS specialist to provide the details on the new GIS options.

Hi Bryce,
Could you please provide some REST servers and WMTS URL links that you have been having trouble connecting to 12d, so I can have a test/look at it?

Hi Harry,
I can't provide you the REST servers or the WMTS url links for the project as I would need approval from the client to share and the likely answer would be no. If you want to test some data grab some Rest server links and WMTS links from DATAWA (https://www.data.wa.gov.au/). I can get the Rest server to import data but is a one-off static import. It will not store as a function and will not update based on a set interval. Additionally, the REST server process allows you to set the projection, but it will not apply it. you have to import it as Lats and Longs and apply a conversion.
The WMTS url's don't work at all.
I am hoping a fix will come with update 15.0C1k when it is released.

Re: GIS module not working
- Yes, I can confirm it is one-off static import. This is somethings for us to work on as improvement/new features in the future.
- Some issues with applying projections for REST has been fixed in 15c1k
- Some errors with WMTS was discovered and have also been fixed in 15c1k.
Hopefully c1k will solve most of the GIS problems when it's out.
