Overlapping cross-section and strings

I have an alignment that is at a 90degree bend, when I apply my template the corners are messy and overlap. Is there a method or a modifier that can clean this up so that it will follow the corner as it steps out?

Have you tried removing loops?

open the MTF Edit panel, walk right on 'More' then click on Loops

type * in row 1

This will only fix the strings, not the section lines,
