Dealing with Intersections of 2 Centreline Road Aligment

I am new in 12d I have a question how will you combine or treat an intersection of 2 centrelines road alignment in computing the cut/fill volume?

Simply create a tin of the design and do the volumes between the design tin and the ground tin.
