string naming

I have a load of strings representing culvert centrelines that cross another single string representing a road centreline. I want the name of each individual culvert string to be the chainage on the road centreline at the point the 2 strings intersect i.e. every culvert string has a different name relating to the chainage at the road centreline. The culvert strings are randomly skewed and spaced along the road centreline. Any ideas?

Design > X-Sections > Name cross sections by chainage should do the trick.
