Number of points in strings exported to CAD

When I export a strings (mainly contours) with a lot of points it slows ACAD down to a crawl. Is there anyway to reduce the number of points in strings when I'm exporting them

A-G
FILTER - either vertex or string
used to remove points from strings

other reason could be conversion of some arcs or parabolas to segmented lines...

that should be under defaults as arc to chord tolerance...
