I am not understanding the real use of setting up a environment conf file at starting of project .
Like what is the use of this file or option? or if i am selecting wrong env.conf then will it effects my project ?
Help me out please .........

the HELP (F1) has pretty good info on this
see section 8.6.4 Env Configuration
it is not required but ENV.config can help when you need different settings for different purposes
say, surveyors want to see different views to designers when project opens...
you might have a full colour environment and grey scale only environment
that can be achieved by specifying different colours.4d file for each env.
environments are setup files, they don't change your data just present it in different ways
there are few customisation available on TA websites, if you want to use them all best to have a different environment for each say download one from RMA, QMR and see what they do...
