Re: PPF Plot formatting into AUTOCAD
Make sure you're running V14C2k or V15C1a. In order to align each section sub-plot in a regular grid, you're effectively either asking them to all be the same size or the insertion points to be at a fixed interval. If you open the Section X Plot PPF Editor and select the Plot parameters branch on t...

Re: String/Model Comparison Tools
if well named and unique strings, there is a COMPARE tool (use search box forget the full name) actually maybe compare named strings but
if string names are not great, not consistent, not unique it wont help. Nothing will because there is possibly nothing to compare

Re: Extend String to intersect a TIN
Can anyone advise how you can extend a Super String (NOT SA) to intersect a TIN surface? Thx. A few questions before this can be answered. EDIT There are several possibilities 1. is this a string authored by the apply-mtf process - or - just a random 3d (super) string? 2. If apply-mtf, Which plane?...

Re: TIN Flow Arrows - Head Size / Ratio
probably not the hardwired ones.
But there were macros bouncing around which created arrow strings (slope coloured etc) colour and in that case you potentially do whatever you like, ie use differnt symbol ...

Re: 12d v14 OpenGL view
Ed, your were correct, the HP docking station is underpowered for the Dell, but I wouldn't know how to use the supplied power unit and the docking station in tandem. Perhaps that product Paul sent through is an answer. 1. You can plug in a power supply to the Dell laptop and You can plug in a power...

Re: 12d v14 OpenGL view
Oooo 1 more tip in this space. Make sure your laptop has its OWN charger/power supply and NOT through the dock unless you are sure the pwr supply wattage is high enough to power both at full demand. Typically for the Dells we use that would be a 180W power supply. You can use less, there are lots of...

Re: 12d v14 OpenGL view
we had this issue in office as well. happened on this desk but not the other.... Would you believe it was the docking stations in use. We have 3 recent variants all from Dell which are delivered with the laptop In the past I have updated the docking station driver - but on this instance the user jus...

Re: Mapping From a DWG- Can You Have Certain Layers In a DWG Not Come Through?
like you say the dwg could have layers with nothing on it, layers which were only used to define blocks (but nothing on) and so on... I do what you suggested there with a last row * catch all. Next thing I do is delete empty unlocked models The block (/symbol) size thing... maybe no one ever asked f...
