Water Longsection ppf assistance

I'm currently using 12D V14.0C2k and trying to plot water pipeline using from Water/Pipeline/Plots/Long-section. I got message reading "no pipeline strings in network model". Another thing is that we don't have water/Sewer dongle licence. Is that the reasons??

I'd guess you are using the wrong PPF Editor. What is the string type of your pipeline strings (via F2 String Inquire)?

The Pipeline Plot PPF Editor is rather old and inflexible, and (I think) it only plots Pipeline string types, which are deprecated.

The ordinary Section Long Plot PPF Editor can plot Super Alignment pipeline strings, with a good example being: $LIB\pipeline_longsection_PW_A1.lplotppf

The Water Long Section Plot PPF Editor is for Water (aka Drainage) strings (eg: stormwater, sewer, water supply).

My string type is "pipeline" will change my strings to Super Alignment and give a go.

The Pipeline Plot PPF Editor should work with strings of type "pipeline".

In the example shown, if the Network model "PIPELINE" does not contain any "pipeline" string types, you will get the error message you reported, as shown:

I just tested Super Alignment strings, and they do plot through the Pipeline Plot PPF Editor, too.

(It is definitely not a license issue, as that gives a different error message.)

Hi Owen,

Thanks for that. I'm working on this project extension and we doing re-alignment of Water/Sewerage reticulation. I need to adopt the same plot ppf file that adopted on the previous stage. As I mentioned earlier we don't have12D Water Module (aka Drainage) licences, I believe limit us to access those plot files. Are there any option there or I'd need to add water module.
